Museums and galleries are great places to sketch and vulpa has always taken advantage of this. These equine drawings of the Parthenon marbles were made on a visit to the British Museum. By following the shape, form and design of the object an artist can gain a greater understanding of the subject as well as developing their observation skills.

This is perspective study of an ageing Saxon chieftain. Power and authority are often enhanced via the subject gazing down upon the viewer. This sketch attempts to maintain the same authority whilst reversing the viewing position.
